Allegheny Health Network (AHN)

UX/Technical Writing + Design

I worked as a technical writer and UX designer to create an intranet prototype for the Women in Medicine Group at Allegheny Health Network (AHN). The Women in Medicine group was a community of women physicians, nurses, and residents who wanted to share resources for women who work at the hospital. Our team for the project included two developers and one other technical writer, and we all collaborated for the UX work.

Following the agile methodology, the four of us wrote user personas, created competitive benchmark reports, drafted wireframes, collected data from user surveys, and conducted card sorting tests and tree sorting tests before starting to build the site. Once we had our first prototype, we tested that, analyzed the results, and prepared the final prototype for the client. From there, we delivered the results along with a report concluding our recommendations.
